Perfect Star and Circle
The first drawing assignment will be of a perfect five pointed. The star must appear to be even on all sides. No devices except a pencil, paper and an eraser will be used. The objectives of the assignment is to follow instructions through example, understand expectations for each assignment, and to not give up on making something appear the way it is supposed to be.
Line
In notes: Connects one point to another.
Create a Line Sampler
Students will complete the create a line sampler handed out in class. The 'thumbnail' drawings must use line only and may not be recognizable. When the sampler page is complete students will choose their favorite thumbnail sketch to refine and enlarge to a 6"x6" box. Line variation (thick, thin, broken, jagged etc..) must be used to make the 6"x6" composition interesting.
